We believe...that God is the all-powerful, all-knowing creator of the universe. He created the heavens and the earth and placed mankind in this world to display his glory.
We believe...that as humans we have fallen short of God's glory by giving into sin. The payment for that sin requires death and an insurmountable gap has been created between God and man.
We believe...that out of his love for us, God sent his only son, Jesus Christ to be born into the world, to live a perfect life, and die a criminal's death as the final payment for man's sin. On the third day Jesus rose from the dead and conquered death, bridging the otherwise hopeless separation between the Creator and his creation.
We believe...that Christ's sacrifice on the cross makes salvation accessible to anyone who would make Jesus his or her Lord and Savior.
We believe...that all followers of Christ are members of the Church, the multi-ethnic, universal collection of those who have been saved. As disciples of Christ and members of the Church, each believer has a responsiblity to one another through active involvement in his or her local congregation.
We believe...that as members of the Church and followers of Christ, every member has been called into ministry to the lost, the poor, and the hurting. Although this has been largely ignored by many in today's generation, it is a mandatory part of true discipleship in which every believer is called.
We believe...that the role of church leadership is to actively lead their congregation by encouraging and equipping them to grow in their relationships with Christ. They are to lead their local churches in providing ministry opportunities, sound Biblical teaching, and all manners of spiritual care.
We believe...that there is an untapped potential for outreach by uniting local churches and ministries from various denominations, ethnic backgrounds, and worship practices and it is our calling as an organization to assist and work alongside these organizations in doing so. |
