Matt Morrison was born and raised in the suburbs of Dallas, TX. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies and a minor in Speech Communications. He is currently a student at Dallas Theological Seminary, seeking a Master of Theology.
Matt was born and raised in the church with a family that was deeply involved. He accepted Christ at a young age and began feeling a call into full-time vocational ministry while attending a youth weekend at his home church. Although still in high school, the Lord laid a passion for Biblical teaching on his heart. Matt combines solid Biblical principles, humor, and personal life stories to show the Bible's relevance in everyday life. He has a passion for seeing students come to faith in Christ and begin growing in it. Matt puts a high emphasis on applying the Biblical text in real life.
While in college, Matt had the opportunity to teach at Refuge, a weekly collegiate gathering in Arkadelphia, AR sponsored by the university. He also served on the leadership committee for Tiger Serve Day, Arkansas' largest annual community service project. His experiences in these and other ministries clarified and amplified his calling as an itinerant Christian speaker.
Matt met Holly, his wife in college where they dated for two years. He proposed to her while in Wrightsville Beach, NC and they were married on May 23, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. They currently reside in the Dallas area where they live with their kitten, Jade. Matt currently serves as the Minister to Students at Audubon Park Baptist Church whiile attending seminary. Holly is the graphic designer for Evantell, an evangelism training ministry led by evangelist Larry Moyer. |
